MONAS

February 19, 2014

That night we arrived in Jakarta at 12.45. The next morning, after getting some breakfast we went to Monumen Nasional, MONAS for short.

 The MONAS itself.

You could buy one if you want to.

Fun facts : The peak was made from 400 kg of gold. YES GOLD.

One of Indonesia public transport, BAJAI. These BAJAIs were originally made in India as they're India's famous public transport. It costs only Rp. 5000 per ride. I tried it 3x.

After visiting Monas, we went to Tanah Abang to spend our last hours in Jakarta. I bought the colourful telekung, the one with batik motive. TIE DYE ACTUALLY. Tanah Abang has a lot of tudungs shops. Hijabers would go crazy. Tapi, rasanya yang gila aku ja la sebab tudung bawal berlunggok!

Then, we went straight to airport. If you're planning of paying a visit to Jakarta, just don't. I mean Jakarta isn't really that tourist/traveler-would-pay-a-visit-place (maybe it's just me, Idk) Just book your flights ticket straight to Bandung because apparently it has a lot of interesting places to offer! From Bandung, you could use train to get to Jakarta and get down at Gambir Station which is next to Monas! Because, trust me! Jakarta is boring but fun than Medan and alhamdulillah tak ada pulak food poisoning.
